Inspired by Crowdfunding, I plan how to break up a complex projec tto smaller manageable stand alone projects and what they are...

This week I was thinking about redefining home ariconditioning and how google, facebook and linkedin will infleunce this rebirth. MicroAC concept enables unique opportunity for creating great user experience and additional value than just cooling or heating your house. In today's article see how the mobile user interface can become a paltform for social networking and the cloud based database can become the spring board for a plethora of open source add ons....

It is a joy to see an article that starts with what you preach. This is not enaything earthshattering, but the National Geographic article started with the AC technology innovated by Wills Carrier hundred years ago is at the limits of technology barriers. While I do not agree with the article's content it surely is right in pointing out the fact that incumbent companies are struggling to cost effectively meet the increasing efficiency standards and to lower the global warming potential. But I disagree that only a titally new technology is required... (read more)

In the last post I introduced the complexity of adding PEX water supply and return pipes through the periphery of the house. But it is all not negative for the home builder. Not only the business advantages to differentiate with green technology this idea also brings about a lot of complexity reduction for the builder. The builder now requires fewer suppliers and contractors. Read on.

Heat rejection is a prime concern with distributed residential AC as described in this website. Ideally, I like to be able to reject heat to geothermal water cooled system. The design and implementation of this has significant impact on residential construction and building codes. I like to get feedback from building professionals. Geothermal water cooled system requires a PEX pipe circuit running throughout the house. The reason is that in a typical house of 2500Sq. Ft there are about 20 smart microAC units located in almost every wall in the house. This requires water to be circulated to almost every wall in the house.
