In the last post I introduced the complexity of adding PEX water supply and return pipes through the periphery of the house. But it is all not negative for the home builder. Not only the business advantages to differentiate with green technology this idea also brings about a lot of complexity reduction for the builder. The builder now requires fewer suppliers and contractors. Read on.
If you read the three introduction pages on the introduction and working of the product, you may have already guessed that the home does not require a duct system for air distribution and it also does not require a central AC. Yes, you do not require specialized trade or contractor to size, install and commission the HVAC system. The HVAC system design now is done by the architect or the builder using an online tool. The tool requires information on location (weather zone), type of construction, insulation, home orientation etc and delivers the number of units required for the desired capacity. The installation involves a back end system of water supply and return pipes and electricity wiring. The water pipes and wires are connected to a manifold that is permanently attached to the studs. The back end system does not require any special trades. Only requires plumber and electrician. The micro ac unit is mounted to the manifold without use of special tools. Upon first starting the units automatically connect to the internet and commissioning is automatic. would you agree that this idea reduces the complexity for builders?
